Find out moreSpring is arriving quickly. Just like nature, the Roman villa of Echternach is slowly emerging from its hibernation. The various museum services are busy with their respective tasks to ensure everything is ready for the site's reopening on April 8, 2025. The interpretation center is getting a makeover. The life scenes reconstructing the daily life of a Gallo-Roman family living in such a domain have been carefully dusted off, and the mannequins representing the master of the house and his wife, their children, the tutor, and all the staff have been prepared by the restoration team for the visiting days. This year, the four scenes are reunited after two of them were shown in China as part of our off-site exhibition Small but beautiful. Treasures of cultural heritage from Luxembourg, from March 28 to August 4, 2024, at the Henan Museum. Inside and outside the site, everything is set up to welcome visitors in an oasis of tranquility. The new educational booklets intended to accompany English-speaking and Dutch-speaking visitors during their tour are available on request at the reception.
